The ImpressCMS Community is excited to announce the availability of ImpressCMS 1.1 Alpha 1 for testing.

With this release we are now another step closer to becoming a true Community Management System (CMS). As your all aware we were suppose to be having a competition, however whenever we tried to notify XOOPS users of this, our news articles where simply not authorised on XOOPS.org despite how many themes the XOOPS community could of gained from this.

So if people don't know they could enter, then obviously there would be little participation and it would be rather pointless.

SourceForge announced recently that they will are now supporting OpenID, I'm not sure when exactly it was announced, but a close friend of mine has only just spotted it, personally I missed it.

According to Mamba of XOOPS, the original founder of XOOPS will be making a come back in some form and very soon too.

I'm sure this will be good news to many people out there, and will give some inspirational hope to those who've witnessed the recent history of XOOPS.
